Ashburn, Virginia is located between Washington Dulles International Airport and Leesburg, the county seat of Loudoun County.
Because of its convenient location and access to major roads, Ashburn has become a rapidly growing town with a population made up of young families and professionals, many of whom commute each day to their jobs in DC or the surrounding suburbs.
Within the past two decades, however, a larger number of Ashburn residents are able to forego the long commute and stay nearby for employment, as the city and surrounding areas are now dubbed the “Dulles Technology Corridor,” home to many high-tech businesses such as Verizon, AOL, Telos, Airbus Group, Inc, and more.
Ashburn is also the home of Commanders Park, the official training camp for the Washington Commanders NFL football team.
Ashburn has had no problem keeping up with its rapid population growth in recent years, evident by its many new constructions of condos, townhouses, single-family homes, and numerous mixed-use planned communities, such as One Loudoun, which features shops, restaurants, offices, a movie theater, recreational areas, and is surrounded by new homes.
Another such living and retail Ashburn community is Loudoun Station (billed as a “lifestyle center”), located on the site of the new DC Metro Silver Line expansion. The Metro station offers convenient Metrorail access from Ashburn to Dulles airport, and all the way into downtown Washington, DC.
Loudoun Station is also home to our main office of Pearson Smith Realty!
